2. What the service provides

Kjøpsvakten provides a free, automatically generated decision-support report based on listing data, active market data, fixed checks and AI analysis.

3. Free use and daily limit

Reports are free during the beta. A moderate daily limit applies only to new listings. Previously analysed listings can be reused for a limited period without counting again.

4. Voluntary support

Users may voluntarily support the project through PayPal.Me after the report has been delivered. Support is not payment for the report and provides no additional rights.

5. AI-generated content and possible errors

The report is produced wholly or partly using artificial intelligence and automated rules. AI output, third-party data and listing information may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. Identification, prices and risk assessments are estimates.

6. Customer responsibilities

• Confirm that the correct listing, model and variant have been selected.
• Read the original listing and ask the seller necessary questions.
• Inspect and test the item before payment whenever possible.
• Assess the seller, payment method, shipping, customs, taxes and fraud risk.
• Make the final purchase decision independently and do not rely solely on the report.

7. Kjøpsvakten is not a party to the item purchase

Kjøpsvakten does not sell the item and is not the seller's agent or guarantor. The provider is not responsible for the seller's actions, hidden defects, counterfeits, non-delivery, fraud or third-party disputes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, the provider is not liable for indirect loss or loss caused by incorrect or incomplete information. The report does not guarantee that every defect or risk will be found. This limitation does not apply to wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Defects, complaints and dissatisfaction

Disagreement with a conclusion, later price changes or general dissatisfaction do not alone constitute a defect in the service. If the report is not delivered or materially differs from what was promised, the customer may exercise mandatory consumer rights.

10. Data sources and market comparison

Automatic marketplace import and the primary price evidence use eBay where Kjøpsvakten has approved data access. For FINN and other marketplaces without such access, Kjøpsvakten does not fetch the listing page; the user must provide listing text, screenshots and other details. Any local references are user supplied, shown as separate context and do not change the eBay median or percentage assessment. The price assessment normally uses active listing prices, not verified sold prices. Shipping, customs, taxes, accepted discounts and later price changes may be omitted.

11. Personal use and intellectual property

The report is intended primarily for personal use. Sharing an individual assessment through Kjøpsvakten’s built-in sharing feature is permitted. Automated resale, mass publication, systematic copying or use to build a competing database is prohibited without written permission.

12. Governing law and complaints

The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. The customer should first contact the provider in writing. Mandatory consumer and jurisdiction rules prevail over these terms.
