The manual flow is intentionally different from automatic eBay import. Kjøpsvakten does not server-fetch FINN listings without approved data access. You choose which listing text and screenshots to provide, and the analysis is based on that user-supplied material.
This keeps the source boundary clear: the tool can help analyse the content you submit without pretending to have a direct FINN integration that does not exist.
Provide the information that identifies the actual product
Include the title and the parts of the description or screenshots that show model, variant, condition, bundle contents and important faults. A small number of readable screenshots is more useful than many images that do not add identity or condition evidence.
If the listing is a bundle, make the major included products clear. If the model or variant cannot be established, the price comparison should remain cautious rather than guessing from a broad category.
eBay can still provide international price references
When the item has an international market and its identity is specific enough, Kjøpsvakten can use eBay as the main automatic price-reference source. This is particularly useful for electronics, cameras, drones, collectibles and other products traded across borders.
Local Norwegian asking prices can differ from international eBay listings. You can therefore also provide local references separately when you know of genuinely comparable listings.
Use the report to ask better seller questions
A useful report should do more than assign a score. It should show which material facts are missing and suggest questions that fit the product category, such as battery health, previous damage, account binding, serial information or included accessories.
Keep a copy of relevant listing information and communication before purchasing. Kjøpsvakten is an additional decision-support layer, not a replacement for FINN’s own safety functions or the checks you should make in the transaction.
